Sauna and ice swimming on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 17 : 00 – 20 : 00

Sauna address:  Saijantie 6, about 1.9 km from the Salla town roundabout in the direction of Savukoski–Kantalahti. 

Starting in September, the sauna heats up on Mondays and Fridays from 17:00 to 20:00. From October onward, the sauna heats up on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 17:00 to 20:00. We warmly welcome you to visit our sauna.

By visiting our sauna you support the local community of Salla. The local non-profit organization, Sallan Latu ja Polku, has been organizing ice swimming in Salla since 1993. In January 2025 we opened our new sauna on the shore of Lake Ruuhijärvi. The sauna is run by our volunteers – we have no paid staff.

How it works

When you arrive, please pay for your visit by reading the QR code available on the wall of the dressing room with your mobile phone, and then make the payment in the internet as according to instructions. Please also fill in the guest book – we keep track on our visitors because we receive funding as a non-profit organization.
